Printing from outside of Live Desktop is now enabled.
Here are some FAQ to help you.
Q: I’m not logged in to Live Desktop but want to print something to a CBH MFD – how do I do this?
A: Open a new email (using your cbhomes.org.uk email account) and attach the item that you want to print. Address the email to either [email protected] (for ‘black and white’ printing) or [email protected] (for colour printing) and just send the email.
Q: Will my print job be ready immediately?
A: No, but it won’t take long. You’ll get an email from [email protected] and your print job should be ready about 30 seconds after you receive this.
Q: How do I print the job out?
A: Just go to any CBH MFD and log in to release the print jobs as normal
Q: What sort of things can I print?
A: Due to server issues you can only send .pdf files to print. However - all items created in Office 365 (e.g. Word, Excel etc.) can be "saved as" in .pdf format. Photos can be pasted into a Word document which can them be saved as a .pdf
Q: I’ve received an email from PaperCut saying my print job has been received but it’s not a recognised file type – what should I do?
A: Check that what you sent to be printed is a .pdf file
Q: Can I choose single sided or double sided printing?
A: No, not at this time. Currently you can only print single sided.
Q: Can I send the print job from anywhere?
A: You can send the print job from any device attached to the Internet (e.g. CBH issued computer, mobile phone, your own PC at home etc.) BUT you must use your cbhomes.org.uk email account to send the attachment.
Q: I’ve had an email from PaperCut saying I’m not recognised – what’s gone wrong?
A: The most likely cause is that you sent the attachment using a non-CBH email account (e.g. Hotmail, Outlook.com, Gmail etc.)
