If your device asks you for a BitLocker key when it starts up the please follow the instructions below - this is the 'Express' version - if you want the 'Full' (more detailed and illustrated) version please open the attachment "BitLocker Recovery Process" at the bottom of this Solution
WHAT DO I DO IF I GET THE BITLOCKER SCREEN?
You should be able to retrieve the key yourself by following the steps below.
- On another PC log in to your Office 365 account (If you do this on someone else's device then open the Edge browser and open an 'In Private Window' or use a Wyse terminal and go into your VDI account)
- Once there go to: https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/r/#/profile
- (NOTE: for some reason, when this page loads it sometimes opens: https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/r/#/applications instead - if that happens just change the word 'applications' to 'profile' and hit enter to load the correct page)
- Click on Get BitLocker key and make a note of the RECOVERY KEY number displayed - this is the number you must enter into the BitLocker screen on your device
- Once you've entered the BitLocker Recovery key on your device just follow the onscreen instructions, your device will re-start and you will be able to log in as usual
