Adding and Removing MFA

CBH employ Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) as an additional level of security. Although this can be accomplished by receiving and responding to either texts or automated phone calls, we recommend the use of the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone as this is the quickest and easiest method to use.

When you are issued with your CBH smartphone the app will already be installed on it – if you’re using a different phone/device you’ll have to download it from the relevant app store for your device.

NOTE: If you already have the Authenticator app set as the default method, you'll have to remove this and add it again on the laptop screen as below

Adding – setting up for first use

On your phone:

Open the app on your phone and choose ‘+Add Account’ and select ‘Work or School Account’ and choose ‘Scan a QR code’. Authorise the app to use the camera. The camera should open, ready to scan a QR code.

Leave the phone for a moment and go to your laptop.

On your laptop - go to your Office 365 Home Page and click on the Settings icon (Cog wheel, top right of page)
