If you have been authorised to use a Mitel handset from home, you'll need to set it up and configure the settings.
You will be supplied with a Mitel desk phone, 2 x Ethernet cables and a Power over Ethernet (PoE) adapter (sometimes referred to as a 'power brick'). Once home, you'll need to set these up yourself -  there's a video here showing how to do it (Please note, the design of the PoE you will have is a little different from the one shown in the video, but the principle is the same).

Once set up, as per the video, you will need to configure the phone - again, the video shows you how to do this, generally,  but you need to use the below IP address and password instead of the ones in the video (which should help if the below seems confusing).

  • Pull Ethernet cable out of phone and while holding down the 7 key, plug it back in... (If you haven’t plugged it in yet, hold 7 key down when you do)
  • Configure Teleworker – answer YES
  • Hit *
  • Hit #
  • Hit *
  • Teleworker IP address is 185.71.92.208 (You enter the numbers and press the # key for the points, so 185#71#92#208)
  • Press Down Arrow
  • Hit * (to store)
  • It should download and flash the latest firmware and reboot
  • When prompted “Enter TW install pw”? 1721814912
  • Hit *
  • Hit *
  • Hit *

You then log into the phone with your normal 4 digit extension number and PIN

WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU VIEW THE VIDEO IN FULL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SET THE PHONE UP, RATHER THAN TRYING TO SET THE PHONE UP WHILST WATCHING THE VIDEO

(You can always play it again/pause when you're doing the set up)
